A Special Dog Named Bennie
UPDATE - 4-22-08
We first introduced everyone to Bennie on April 17th, on the 107one morning show with Martin Bandyke. He is a special dog.
Bennie is a 4 year old Rottweiler and was found as a stray with his collar embedded in his skin. As painful as it was for him to have it removed, Bennie remains a sweet and gentle dog.
It is sadly obvious that Bennie was not cared for properly. Bennie has tested positive for heartworm and had an eye condition
(Entropion)
that caused his eyelash's to grow in instead of out. That condition was very annoying and painful to Bennie as well.
Bennie has now undergone surgery to fix the entropion and will begin his heartworm treatment when his is eating better.
It is our sincere hope that once Bennie has recovered he will be ready for adoption.
