HSHV Perfect Pairs

Donate Pet Finder.com

There are times that two companion animals come to HSHV and it is evident that they really need to be adopted together. If we witness behavior such as depression and lack of appetite when we separate animals, we can't in good consensus adopt them out as singles.

Our "Perfect Pairs" as we call them, will only flourish when they have their lifelong companion with them.  The "Perfect Pairs" below must be adopted together.

See our success stories of Perfect Pairs who have been adopted.

Perfect Pairs Ready for loving, lifelong homes are listed below!

UPDATED 4-8-09

Jacy and Charlie

Charlie (1 1/2 years old) and Jacy (6 years old) came from the same home, brought to the shelter because there were too many animals in the household. Charlie is the handsome black cat with gold eyes who, according to his former owner, he knows how to pee in the potty! We can't guarantee that skill, but we do know he's litter box trained. He and Jacy are designated as part of our PURRRFECT PAIR program and need to be adopted together. Jacy is a very handsome tiger cat and loves to be petted.

Zoey and Chunk

Zoey (left) and Chunk (right) are best buddies and part of our Purrrfect Pair program so that they can stay together. Zoey is the smaller of the two, and younger. She's about 2 years old, Chunk is about 10. Zoey and Chunck have been spayed, given shots, and are litterbox trained. Zoey is very sweet and loves to explore and play. She and her pal Chunk are both available to be adopted today!

Baby Girl and Angel

Baby Girl (left - 1 year old) and Angel (right - 3 years old) and several other kitties are here because sadly, their owner passed away. Angel and Baby Girl are part of our PURRRFECT PAIR program, and that lets them be adopted together. Baby Girl is a beautiful gal with dilute calico markings and big gold eyes. Baby Girl and Angel have been spayed, are litter box trained and ready to go home with you today!

Phoebe and Jessie

Jessie (age 8) and Phoebe (age 5) are a perfect example of a PURRRFECT PAIR. They have always been together, and were brought to the shelter together to find a new family because their owner was no longer able to care for them properly. Jessie is a gorgeous dark tortie with huge gold eyes. She is less shy than Phoebe, and will come out to talk to you in her cage. You can hear her purring the whole while. Phoebe is more shy and will follow Jessie's lead. Jessie and Phoebe are both front declawed and must be indoor only cats. If you are looking for a couple beauties in need of a new and loving family, come see Jessie and Phoebe, they are both available to be adopted now.

Chervil and Clover

This adorable pair of male mice really enjoy each other's company and would like to remain together, joyfully playing and burrowing in their mouse house. These two were resuced from a life lived in a laboratory. Can you give them a caring home? They are only about 3 months old.

Tulip, Pansey & Rose

Look at these sweet little girl mice all playing nice together and enjoying themselves. These three were resuced from a life lived in a laboratory. Can you give them a caring home? They are only about 3 months old.

Indigo and Tamale

Indigo and her sister Tamale were brought to the shelter as "strays". Indigo is 4 and Tamale is 2 years old. They are super sweet, and they are now ready to be adopted. They are part of our PURRRFECT PAIR program and need to be adopted together, since they have always lived together and are dependent on each other. Besides, two cats are twice the fun, and you can enjoy their antics when they play or cuddle together. Indigo is a very sweet gal, pretty too, with her white fur with grey patterns. Tamale is the more outing going of the sisters. They are now in our Community Cat room where they get along well with the other felines!

Blossom & Happy

Blossom and Happy were adopted but are back at the shelter because their person developed allergies. Blossom is 3 years old, and is a stunning long hair calico with green eyes and a silly tan spot on her chin that looks like she spilled cocoa on it. Happy is 6 years old, with bright white fur and gold eyes. She and Blossom are both front declawed and have to be indoor only cats. They are litter box trained, and have had their shots and are ready for adoption!

Buddy & Diamond

Buddy and his best girl Diamond first came to the shelter when, after years together, their owner could no longer afford to keep them. Fortunately for them, they were adopted together. Unfortunately for all concerned, their new person fell ill and could no longer care for them. So Buddy and Diamond came back to the shelter to await a new family. Buddy is 6 years old, house trained and according to his most recent owner he's good with other dogs, cats and teenagers. He's very friendly and loves attention. He does tend to gobble his food, but is still trim and handsome fellow, about 65 lbs of loving. He walks very well on the leash, and you can often see him out on walks with Diamond! Buddy is also 6 years old and receives daily medication for arthritis. Both dogs are looking for another special person or family to adopt them both. Because he and Diamond are so bonded, they are a part of our PERFECT PAIR program and they must be adopted together. Buddy had surgery on his knee, and along with Diamond is in foster care to help heal faster. For information about them contact their foster mom Beth at walldal@sbcglobal.net or 734-998-3732.

Cinders and Comet

Cinders and Comet are a part of our PURRRFECT PAIR program. These two small kitties are two of several cats brought to the shelter through our TNR program. They and the others were abandoned when their owners were evicted and had been living outside of the house on handouts from neighbors. They are now safe and sound, visiting with their foster mom while waiting for their new home (with you???). Both are litter box trained. Comet is 2 years old, and is shy but sweet and friendly. Comet is a pretty little golden brown tiger with white on her face and throat.Cinders is about 4 years old and has beautiful silver/gray fur.
