Undiscovered Treasures!

Donate Pet Finder.com

These wonderful pets have been "UNDISCOVERED" for far too long.

Most homeless pets come to the shelter and within a couple of weeks, find new, caring homes. But, unfortunately there are little jewels that stay hidden among the many animals at the shelter or in our foster homes.

Sometimes people think if a pet has been at a shelter a long time that there must be something wrong with them. That is far from the truth! There is also the wrong idea that pets have some kind of time limit. Thankfully that is not the case as you can tell from looking at these stories,

HSHV will remain committed to homeless pets as long as we need to.

This page is dedicated to the "PRECIOUS JEWELS," our homeless pets that have been in our care for over 60 days (and that are over 5 months old). We hope by spotlighting them, people who are ready for a pet will consider "digging a little deeper," past the young and the cute, to get to the treasure chest of special pets that need caring homes.

Seyfried Jewelers is sponsoring this program!  Anyone who adopts an Undiscovered Treasure will be entered into a drawing to win a $150 watch or pair of earrings (your choice) at Seyfried Jewelers in downtown Ann Arbor! PLUS, all "Undiscovered Treasures" have a special $20 OFF their adoption fee! ASK about other special gifts you will receive when you adopt a pet that has been here for more than 60 days!

Your treasure of a lifelong companion awaits, Matey!

Allie

( Fresh Water Pearl )

61 Days at HSHV

Allie is a happy little soul, just waiting to meet her perfect match. Allie is one of those pups who is just a joy to behold. You can't help but smile, especially if you get a chance to see her play or do her agility training workout. She will find a toy (or bone) and toss it all around and catch it herself. She never stops smiling and wiggling with glee. This is one super sweet little gal, just 9 months old, who believe it or not was found as a stray. According to the people who found her she gets along with other dogs. She does has some special adoption requirements because of her breed.

Mama

( Diamond )

303 Days at HSHV

Mama cat lives up to her name! She arrived at the shelter with tiny kittens and went in to foster to raise them to be big and strong! Her foster mom reports: "Mama is a sweetie who will answer you when you talk to her and come for a visit when you call her over. She is playful and affectionate. She has no litterbox issues. She only took a day or two to adjust to the pets in this house. She is not bothered by dogs and has only had problems with one of our other four kitties. Never a fight, just some evil looks and growling -- mainly from the other kitty." Mama is now ready to be adopted herself. She's been spayed and had her shots.

For information on adopting her, you can contact HSHV at 734-717-4424, extension 111.

Wags

( Opal )

90 Days at HSHV

Wags is a charming and frisky little dude who came to us when his home was foreclosed on. He was very nervous and shy here at the shelter and so has been with one of our wonderful foster parents for a break from shelter life. Wags is about 8 years old, housetrained, neutered, up to date on shots and looking for a very special family or person to adopt him. He is living with a couple cats, and loves one of them and is a bit afraid of the other, so a home with no cats is best. He would like to be top dog and so would do best as an only dog. He also is a small breed and only weighs about 9 pounds so should be in a home where any kids are at least 12 years old and have dog experience.

It's easy to adopt from foster, just call and ask us how! 734-662-5585, extension 111.

Muffin

(Lapis Lazuli)

61 Days at HSHV

Muffin is a super affectionate, and sweet senior gal who is 12 years old. She looks like a kitten though, doesn't she? What an adorable face! She sure doesn't look or act her age.

Check out the video of Muffin be her cute lap cat self! We love her so much.

Poor Muffin was dropped off at the shelter because she was peeing outside the litter box but our veterinarians found that she had a serious bladder infection and once she was treated, Muffin has been perfect in her box. Not one accident. She just needed to be seen by a vet.

Muffin's been spayed, she's had her shots, and she is ready to find her forever family. Twelve is technically a senior, but in her case it's more like 12 is the new 6!

Sadie

(Moonstone)

83 Days at HSHV

Hello, my name is Sadie. I am 5 years old. I have warm brown fur with black tiger stripes and a dark beige tummy. I also have a dark brown stripe down my back. I have a very cute face and pretty blue/green eyes that will melt your heart.

I was very scared and had a difficult time adjusting at the shelter, so the nice staff at the shelter sent me to a foster home. I am a little skittish, but my foster mom is helping me adjust. See, I have been told by two separate families that they can no longer care for me and that is how I ended up at the shelter.

What I like to do in my spare time is play with my handmade fabric mouse. I also LOVE the laser chaser.

Are you looking for a furry friend to share your couch and provide a forever loving home? If so, I am your tater! I am litterbox trained and front declawed, so I must be an indoor-only cat. I am also up to date on my shots and microchipped and ready for adoption. To find out how you can visit with me, please call the shelter at 734-662-5585, extension 111.

Hector

(Diamond)

78 Days at HSHV

Hector came to HSHV very shy. But, in foster care he has warmed right up to people. He was brought to HSHV by someone who had too many cats and the cats were not getting proper attention.
Hector has a weakness for feather toys, wet cat food and games of attack the foot under the bed covers at night. He is friendly with other cats and even the foster dog (although the dog is very mellow and they mostly don't interact with each other).

Hector has a wonderfully loud purr. He is looking for someone who will be patient with his initial shyness until he blossoms into a wonderful kitty.

Hector is in foster care, and for information on adopting him you can contact us at

734-662-5585, extension 111.

Gene and Bowen

(Red Rubies)

60 Days at HSHV

When they first arrived Bowen and Gene were so shy that they huddled together and looked like one cat with two heads! They are much more relaxed now and are hanging out in the Down Town cats room of the shelter. Gene and Bowen are brothers, about 10 years old, and are both front declawed. They must be indoor only cats! They came to us as strays, and we have made them part of our PURRFECT PAIR program so they can be adopted together.

Huntress is litter box trained, spayed, up to date on shots and ready to move into a dog, and cat-free household today! Could you find it in your heart to consider adopting this kitty? She's a doll -- she just needs to be the only pet in the home.

Smokey

(The Crown Jewel!)

342 Days at HSHV

Smokey was previously owned but her family got another cat and they didn't get along. Smokey has been in our Administration Office for 342 days - just ask at our front desk on how to visit her. We love her, and understand her Tortie ways but it's not fair for her to stay here. Smokey can be a pistol and she likes attention on her terms but that's part of her QUEEN Status! She is royalty afterall!

Smokey likes long hair! She will get up and snuggle in your hair and give you kitty kisses. Smokey needs a children free, cat and dog free home. If you like cats that have cattitude - Smokey is the cat for you!

Phoebe

(The Millennium Sapphire)

324 Days at HSHV

Phoebe is an all-black 5 1/2-year-old who looks like she has some Burmese in her background. Phoebe came to the shelter with her sister Jessie but was very stressed so she went into a foster home. Her sister has long since been adopted, and Phoebe would love a forever home, too. Phoebe is very affectionate, loves being petted, and even gives kisses. She gets along well with other cats and is willing to ignore dogs. Phoebe is front-declawed so she needs to be an indoor-only cat. She always uses her litter box, is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her shots. It is easy to visit Phoebe in her foster home; just e-mail her foster mom at reesela@msu.edu to set up a time to go meet her.

Tigger

( Amethyst )

183 Days at HSHV

Tigger is one of those kitties whose family just abandoned them. He came to us as a stray, but had been someones pet because he was already neutered. He's about 6 years old, he's litter box trained, he's up to date on his shots. Tigger is a very handsome brown and white tiger... he's got big gold eyes. He's in Meow Meadows communal cat room, where he likes to sleep in his fancy box and likes to play with the other cats. Our notes about hims way Tigger is "Calm, gentle, lover boy who gives little kisses". He's totally ready to find his forever family, one who will keep him safe and indoors!

Curly

(Green Peridot Jewel)

121 Days at HSHV

Curly is one sweet guy. He is a real lap cat, and if you sit down by his cage, he will walk right out into your lap for a visit! He's extra handsome, white with a black ear cap and big black dots on his sides. And his eyes--just look at how expressive and pretty they are! Curly came in as a stray, abandoned by his family (we know he was previously owned because he was already neutered). He is looking for a few good laps to sit in, and a home to relax in. He also is quite playful, even at 8 years old! Come meet Curly in the Downtown Cats room of the shelter. He is ready to be adopted today!

Molly

(Emerald)

112 Days at HSHV

MOLLY cat was one of our 107.1fm PETS OF THE WEEK and can still be adopted! Molly says, "Hey! Come visit me!" She's in the UpTown Cats area at HSHV. She's the one who calls to you and pats your arm as you stand by her cage. Molly is a very loving kitty who likes attention and people... dogs, not so much. She's an unusual cat, too. When you first see her, depending on how she's situated, you might think she's all black, but when she tips up her face, you see that she has beautiful tortie markings on her chin, throat and underside! Very unique. Molly is only about 1 year old, and all ready to be adopted! How can you resist those beautiful eyes!! She's been spayed, she's had her shots, and she's litterbox trained.

Unka

(The Jubilee Diamond)

141 Days at HSHV

Unka is a 9 year old Maine Coon mix cat. Like most Maine Coon's, she is a large cat with long fur and wonderful ear tufts, and crazy fur between her paws. She's a nice cat that is a princess and prefers to be treated as such. She does not like to share her people with other commoner pets, so she will need to go to a home with no other animals please.

Unka was previously owned by a woman who left the country and could not take Unka. This sweet cat has been at HSHV since August. READ MORE about Unka.

Unka is at HSHV and you can visit her noon to

6 pm daily!

Spalding

(The Mystic Quartz)

170 Days at HSHV

Spalding was left at our gate in a crate. She doesn't care for other cats much, so she would like to be your one and only cat. Spalding is about 2 years old, and very sweet and special. She is in foster care home. Her Foster Mom

Reports:

"The person who abandoned Spalding at HSHV’s gate back in August must have been in a real bind, because Spalding is incredibly easy to care for. She loves being brushed, getting chin scratches, and giving head butts. She loves eating crunchy foods and treats and drinking fresh water but could care less about canned food. Spalding is a fantastic kitty with certain living requirements. Other cats upset her so she must be the only cat in the household.

CALL (734) 662-5585 to get more information on visiting Spalding!

Chuck & George

( Cat's Eye Tourmaline's)

242 Days at HSHV

Chuck and his best buddy (who is probably his brother), George, were left abandoned on a porch. They have always been together, so we have them as part of our PURRFECT PAIR program to be adopted together. They can keep each other company when you are at work! Chuck is a big boy, almost 14 pounds, and he's front declawed. We think he's in the senior range, maybe 8 years old. Chuck had some allergy issues when he first got here, but he's been treated and cleared by our vets for adoption. Chuck is a talker and super-sweet. He and George must be indoor-only cats, and they must be in a family that promises to give them plenty of love and attention!

CALL (734) 662-5585 to get more information on visiting Chuck & George!

Eddie

(The Moss Opal)

270 Days at HSHV

Eddie is a very handsome fellow, one of the fancy cats who are white with tiger brown here, there, and everywhere. He's about 8 years old and more than ready for a forever family (he's been in the HSHV system since April!). Eddie is litter box trained, up to date on shots and neutered and he's front declawed (so he has to be indoor only). Eddie is in foster care, and it's easy to adopt him still. Contact his foster mom at aarcou@yahoo.com for information on how to do it! She reports that Eddie loves to play and loves to sit with you while you work on the computer or watch TV.

Mr. Tom & Mrs. Sue

Mrs. Sue has lived with Mr. Tom all her life, so we have made them part of our PURRFECT PAIR program so they will always be together. Mrs. Sue is a beautiful 8-year-old glossy black kitty, and Mr. Tom is a 10-year-old handsome gray tiger. Mrs. Sue is spayed, up to date on shots and ready to find a new family to love with Mr. Tom. They were brought to the shelter when their home was foreclosed on. One super sweet thing about this pair, and why we have them listed as a perfect pair, is that when you open their cage, Mrs. Sue will move herself in front of Mr. Tom, as if to protect him.

CALL (734) 662-5585 to get more information on visiting Mr. Tom & Mrs. Sue!

Enid & Bella

( Rose Quartz Crystals )

221 Days at HSHV

Enid (tortoiseshell, about 6 months old) and Bella (tiger stripe, about 1 year old) have become the best of friends since going to foster care in August. Bella is a little more outgoing to people who visit and will walk right up to them to say hi. Enid will hide at first but soon comes out of hiding and sits on your legs if you're stretched out on the couch. She loves to lie on your legs and veg out! They love to play with each other and with toys, especially little life-like mice and feathery things. They are the best kitties, and we know they would make a great addition to any loving home." Please call Angie at 734-945-7379 or e-mail sulland@umich.edu if you'd like to meet them.

Heloise & Hollis

(Moonstones)

219 Days at HSHV

Heloise and her sister Hollis are successful graduates of our TNR, Foster and PURRFECT PAIR programs. TNR means they started out as outdoor feral kittens who went into foster care to get bigger and socialized. They would do best as a pair and love each other, so they are part of our PURRFECT PAIR program to be adopted together. Heloise and Hollis are about 6 months old, spayed, litterbox trained and waiting to meet you! They are still a bit shy, but just a few pets will get their purr motors going, and you will see how sweet they are! For more information on them, please contact their foster dad at crazycatguy@comcast.net.

Callie

( Tourmaline Jewel )

205 Days at HSHV

Callie is a 10-year-old who looks like a kitten still. She has HUGE green/gold eyes and a sweet little face. She's a diva cat, and she wants all the attention from her person(s). That's why she's here--she was intimidating the older cats in her household. Callie is looking for someone to dote on her and make sure to treat her like the beauty she is! She actually needs someone who understands cat language. She should not be in a home with small children or other cats. Callie says, "Pet me, pet me, pet me," and then says, "Okay, stop, I've had enough!" She loves attention, just on her terms. Callie has been waiting since June to be adopted. Callie is in a foster home where she enjoys the quiet home.

CALL (734) 662-5585 to get more information on visiting Callie!

Minnie

( Emerald )

192 Days at HSHV

Minnie is 5 years old and is a tiger mix with a really cute face and large green eyes. Minnie was previously owned, but the small child in the family didn't understand being gentle with her, so Minnie was brought to HSHV. She's a nice kitty who will lick you and give you kisses and an occasional head butt. She is also content to hang out on her own. Minnie has been at HSHV for 5 months. Could you find it in your heart to adopt her? Minnie is spayed and litterbox trained. She is all healthy and up-to-date on her shots and ready for her new family. Because of her previous experience with children, we want Minnie to be adopted into a family where kids are at least 12 years old.

CALL (734) 662-5585 to get more information on visiting Minnie!

Jynx

(Onyx)

192 Days at HSHV

Jynx is in a foster home. Her foster family writes:

"Mama Jynx came to live with us on July 8 with her four babies. Since then, she has fed and groomed six more babies (not hers!) and has nurtured many more. She is lovely and well groomed, and is the kind of kitty that likes to be held on her terms. My husband loves to pick her up and give her BIG HUGS, but she sometimes isn't very happy about it. She doesn't try to bite or scratch but loudly voices her opinion. Quite the strong purrsonality! Jynx is a beauty! She's only about 2 years old and has been spayed, given her shots and is litter box trained."

CALL (734) 662-5585 to get more information on visiting Jynx!

Scout was Adopted!

Scout

(Fire Opal)

182 Days at HSHV

Scout is a big handsome

3-year-old who has been bounced around from home to home through no fault of his own. He was last in a family with other cats, and Scout and the female felines already there didn't hit it off too well. So here's Scout, the bob-tailed kitty, with beautiful orange and white fur and gold eyes, still looking for his home. He's shy but likes attention. Scout plays with toys, he purrs, he will sit with you and keep you company. He has been neutered, given his shots and of course he's litter box trained. Come meet Scout. He's such a cool cat, and he's been at HSHV way too long!

Scout is in our Community Cat Room. Please come and visit him!

Neville

( Tanzanite Jewel )

163 Days at HSHV

Neville the cat is looking for a very special home. Is it with you? He started out life in a feral colony and has been in foster care for nearly 5 months, learning to trust people. He definitely trusts people now but still can be a little shy. Aside from being a beautiful boy, Neville is very playful and LOVES other cats. He should be in a house with other cats, because he loves to follow them around and emulate their behavior. He’s been fostered with dogs as well and does just fine with them. This sweet kitty needs a quiet home with someone who understands that he may never be a people-focused cat—although he’s getting snugglier by the day.

Want to meet this charming guy? Contact foster mom Lisa at lisa@selkie.net or 248-924-0042.

Avery

( Andesine-Labradorite )

106 Days at HSHV

My goodness, Avery has been through a lot in her young life. She's only 10 months old, but she's already been a mother, and as an outdoor stray, she came to HSHV with multiple health issues, all since resolved. Avery is really quite beautiful, with glossy black fur (patchy in a few places but growing back!) and a tiny dab of white on her throat. She has big gold eyes and a big loud purr, and she's very laid back. She's been spayed and is up to date on her shots and litter box trained. She's also looking for a permanent, loving family that will keep her indoors and safe from now on.

Avery is in Meow Meadows at the shelter, one of our cat communal rooms -- you can visit her there.

Nubbie

( Green Peridot Jewel )

77 Days at HSHV

Nubbie, the Nubster, Nubbilina...so named because she needed to have part of her tail amputated when she arrived here as a stray. Come meet her in person and spend a few minutes talking to her so she will show off how beautiful she is! Nubbie is about 3 years old, she's been spayed, given her shots and is litterbox trained. She's looking for a loving family to keep her as their indoor cat! Nubbie is very playful and loves to sit on your lap. You must meet this great cat in person to appreciate what a character she is.

Nubbie is in Meow Meadows at the shelter, one of our cat communal rooms -- you can visit her there.

Marshmallow & Rocket

( Spodumene Jewels )

102 Days at HSHV

These amazing rabbits are New Zealand White rabbits. They are brother and sister and would like to be adopted together. Marshmallow and Rocket were previously owned but were brought to the shelter because of allergies in the household. They are 3 years old and have always been together. These two large bunnies are housetrained! That's right, you read it correctly - they use a litter box. They are social and like to be petted. They came in with their own home which they enjoy sleeping in and which will be available to go with them when they get adopted. These rabbits are meant to live inside only please. They have been pets and need a home where they will be allowed to stay safely indoors.

Aimee

( Ruby-Zoisite Jewel)

61 Days at HSHV

Aimee - she's in Meow Meadows here at the Humane Society of Huron Valley. She's about 3 years old and still wants to play like a kitten. Aimee can be visited any day between noon and 6pm. in Meow Meadows!

Gabby

( Imperial Topaz Jewel)

112 Days at HSHV

Gabby gabby gabby... she's a sweet little gal who purrs a lot more than she talks! She's got beautiful gold eyes, and soft brown fur that's really somewhere in between short and medium, with tufts here and there and a bushy tail. Gabby came in with her kittens, because the person didn't want them anymore. She raised her babies well, and was a bit under the weather for awhile afterwords with a persistent cold, but it's gone now and she's ready to be adopted herself! She's only about a year old, and has been spayed, given her shots and is litter box trained. And her notes say she's sweet, gentle, loving & is super affectionate!

Gabby can be visited any day between noon and 6pm. in Downtown Cats!

Mila

( Zircon )

79 Days at HSHV

Mila cat has a checker board face! She's very cute, and friendly, and playful. In fact the reason she's available for you to adopt her is that she was too playful for the older cat in her previous home. She's about 4 years old, she's been spayed and is up to date on shots and litter box trained. She's very affectionate and will follow you around as you go about your chores.

Mila is in the Up-Town-Cats room at the shelter, basking in the sun or napping in her box while she waits for you to visit!

Isabelle "Bella"

( Tiger's Eye)

156 Days at HSHV

Pretty Isabella has had such a rough time this year! She was abandoned and left behind when her owners moved and then she had kittens. "Bella is only 1 year old, and so far in her life human beings have mostly let her down. She is a great companion and will lie down near you on the couch or floor, likes to talk and will occasionally give head butts. She also loves to play with feather and string toys! She is fine with other cats and dogs and should go to a home where any children are at least 13. Bella needs an experienced cat owner, one that will allow Bella to receive attention on her terms.

Marcy

( Logan Sapphire )

133 Days at HSHV

She's a fablous gal, anxious to find a forever family. She's in foster care right now and her most excellent foster Dad reports that she is a wonderful dog. She likes other dogs, she loves to go to the dog park and run and run and she is housebroken and can stay by herself without getting into mischief. She could be in family with kids over age 10 (she might accidently knock over smaller kids). She's very pretty. She says... My name is Marcy and I'm happy to say that I can be your dog!!! I'm about 8 years old, and I was found running around as a stray. I love people, and love to go on walks.

It's easy to adopt from foster, just call and ask us how! 734-662-5585, extension 111.

Hummus & Taboole

( Pearls )

128 Days at HSHV

Hummus is in foster care with his sister Taboolee. They are both 5-month-old kittens. Hummus and his sister Taboolee came in as teeny babies, orphans, and went into foster to grow up a bit. They are happy and bigger and all ready to be adopted, and we have made them a part of our PURRFECT PAIR program so they can be adopted together. Hummus has the cutest little orange dots on each cheek--you can see them in his photos.

They are both available for adoption now, and for information on them, please contact HSHV at 734-662-5585, extension 111.

Bri

( Turquoise )

131 Days at HSHV

Bri is a dainty and petite Lilac Point Siamese with a sweet face. She was a bit shy in her cage at the shelter and so went to foster care. Her foster Mom reports that she is a wonderful gal who was probably abused at some point prior to coming to the shelter as a stray because she is quite hand shy and cringes if you try to pet her over her head. She LOVES being petted but gets easily over-stimulated and tries to nip at your hand. If you know how to handle her, she is a dream, sweet and soft and cuddly. Bri is about 8 years old. She is quiet for a Siamese, not too many yowls, just purrs.

She would prefer a quiet home with no small kids; a home with someone who has a lap that needs a cat to sit in it!

For more information on Bri and how to adopt her, please contact her foster mom at ann2@hshv.org.

Sprinkles

( Diamond )

127 Days at HSHV

Sprinkles and sister Moon were both nursing mothers (they shared the job) and went to foster with their babies. Moon got adopted. All the kittens have been adopted but Sprinkles has not been so lucky. Sprinkles is a beautiful (if a bit shy) dark tortie with gold/green eyes. She's been spayed, given her shots and is litter box trained.

It's easy to adopt from foster, just call and ask us how! 734-662-5585, extension 111.

Lizzy

( Queen Opal )

119 Days at HSHV

Lizzy has been in foster care for some time to compensate for having been abandoned in an apartment. She was thin and ill when she first arrived, but just look at her now! She's quite the beauty! Her foster Mom reports that "Lizzy Lou is friendly, chats and purrs, likes to be petted, but isn't much for being picked up or held. She's a licker, will happily wash your hands for you (so that you meet with her cleanliness standards). She and her foster mate Cream Puff use the litter box reliably and get along, occasionally indulging in "Race & Chase." Lizzy is about 5 years old, spayed, up to date on her shots and ready to be adopted.

Wendy

( Fire Opal )

96 Days at HSHV

Wendy is not a cat for just anyone. She's quite the diva and will let you know that she should be the most important and only cat in your life. She's a beautiful 7 year old cat who has been bounced around a lot in the last few years. Her original owners moved and left her behind, she was adopted and returned, and she is now happily ensconced in foster care, where her wonderful foster Mom reports " Wendy is still a bit finicky, and she still wants things her own way, but she comes around to sit in my lap and purr every morning and evening when I sit on the couch. She doesn't mind that the dogs are right there by my side. Shes sweet as pie, lovin' the love and just wants to be petted and smooched. She needs to be someone's beloved and treasured cat! She also LOVES to be brushed and fussed over, which is good because she does need help keeping her fur so beautiful!

Wendy can be adopted now from foster, it's easy, just call and ask us how! 734-662-5585 ext. 111.

Sitka

( Garnet )

92 Days at HSHV

Sitka is a wonderful guy! He's an 87 pound sweetheart who thinks he’s a lap dog! He is two years old, house trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Sitka has been in foster, and his foster mom says that he is very easy-going, eager to please, and always willing to roll over for a belly rub. He gets along great with my dog and cat! He does have a lot of energy, though, so he will need plenty of exercise and play time. Due to his size and energy level, he must be adopted into a home with a fenced yard, and no small children that he could accidentally knock down. Sitka’s foster mom has been working with him on some training, including crate training. He is doing very well, but will need a family who is willing to enforce the rules and continue his training to make sure he is the best dog he can be!

If you would like more information about him, please e-mail his foster mom: Amanda@hshv.org

Agnes

( Topaz )

87 Days at HSHV

Agnes is a shy and sweet cat. She came to us with one tiny butterball kitten, and they both went to foster till the kitten was weaned. Now Agnes needs a home of her own. She was a bit scared at the shelter so we found a nice foster home for her. She loves to snuggle under her toasty blanket, so you have to make sure to look for her in her cage! She's a beautiful white and brown tiger with a fancy pattern on her face and gold eyes. She's about 2 years old, spayed, litter box trained and ready to meet her perfect family!

It's easy to adopt from foster, just call and ask us how! 734-662-5585, extension 111.

Coco

( Quartz )

81 Days at HSHV

Coco the Min Pin is in foster care and her foster mom reports that " The best part about Coco is that she is very, very affectionate. She loves to cuddle on your lap while watching TV and will gladly cuddle under the covers in bed with you if you let her. She will let you pet her all day! Coco is one of the nicest foster dogs that we have ever had. She is absolutely adorable! She does NOT like other dogs and needs to be the only dog in the home. She also needs to be in a home that is child free, any kids in the family must be small dog savvy and be at least teenagers. Ideally she would go to a home with a couple or single person with no kids, cats or other dogs.

For information on adopting little Coco, please contact us at 734-662-5585, extension 111.

Owen

( Star Diamond )

60 Days at HSHV

We thought Owen was a puppy at first because he's so cute and playful. He's actually about 4 years old, but you wouldn't guess it watching him! He's extremely sweet and very smart. Very smart. He was working with one of our expert dog walkers, and she had him doing agility moves after only a few minutes! He had no issues jumping through a tire or weaving in and out between her legs like a dance. He knows sit, stay and come. Owen came to HSHV as a stray who nobody claimed. So now he can be part of your family! He's been neutered, he's had his shots, he loves to play and especially likes squeaky toys. Owen has some special adoption requirements because of his breed. Owen is taking a well deserved break from the shelter and is in foster care.

He is still available to be adopted and for information on him please contact us at 734-662-5585, extension 111.
