Thank you to ann arbor's 107.1 fm and morning host Martin Bandyke for giving the homeless pets a voice!
Listen every Thursday morning around 8:30 for the Pet-of-the-Week segment!
The 107.1 fm Pet-of-the-Week is Frida

Frida came in with her litter of kittens, who are now up for adoption. She is such a lover, really very affectionate and playful. We think she may be ok with other cats as long as she is given a proper introduction. She's a nice cat and did such a good job caring for her kittens... now is her time to be pampered and given lots of love! Frida has the coolest markings ever, including a fancy mustache! She's only about 2 years old and would love to find her new family soon. You can come visit her in Uptown Cats here at the shelter.
- Thank you Dogma Catmantoo for supplying a valuable coupon to anyone who adopts the 107.1 pet-of-the-week!
- Also thank you to The Center for Animal Training for supplying a 25% OFF coupon for services including, training sessions, Behavior Consultation, and/or TTouch / Wellness sessions for your new adopted pet.

Thank you to Lucy Ann Lance and Dean Erskine for hosting a weekly "Pet-of-the-Week" segment. Make sure you tune in at 9:00 am every Saturday to hear Lucy Ann and Dean on 1290 AM - WLBY.
The Pet-of-the-Week is Ruby
This beauty is Ruby. She is a Treeing Walker Coonhound and she all the way from Tennessee, looking for an "up north" family to love.
Ruby was part of our Petsmart Charities Rescue Waggin program (we are a partner shelter that helps place homeless puppies and dogs).
Ruby is a typical hound - she loves to follow her nose and she's a super sweet dog. She came to us with heartworm (low grade) and is being treated for it and is expected to make a complete recovery. This is a good reminder why it is so important to give your dogs heartworm prevention.
Ruby is only 3 years old. She loves to run and play and will make a great family pet as long as you do not have any cats. Ruby finds cats too interesting and will chase them.
You can visit Ruby in Dog Town at the shelter - she's all ready to go home with you today!

Thank you to Ann Arbor.com for hosting a weekly Pet-of-the-Week spotlight on their web site.
The Pet-of-the-Week is Burton
This is Burton, isn't he handsome? He is about 7 years old, and was yet another dog who got lost and whose owner never found him. Burton is a big, friendly and easily-walked dog. He weighs about 100 pounds, and although he's not the least bit clumsy he should be in a family where any kids are at least 10 as he might accidentally knock over smaller kids! He is a smart guy, and needs a family who has experience with his breed. Burton had surgery on his front paw... he had a cyst of some sort removed by our vets. He's got the okay for adoption and would love to meet you in the Dog Town wing of the shelter!

Thank you to ArborList and the Ann Arbor Observer for featuring a homeless pet!
The ArborList Pet-of-the-Week is Mick
Mick is one sweet, fun girl. She's very fond of having a lap to sleep in but would also enjoy playing with a feather toy, if one were available. She lived with another cat prior to coming to us and should be fine with another calm, laid back kind of cat. Mick is quite kitten-like for her age and will be sure to make your day a little brighter! Just look at that face--doesn't she look like a kitten still? Mick is 10 years old, front declawed (and must be an indoor only kitty) and is part of our "Diamond in the Ruff" program because she requires a special diet. She's worth adopting, as she is a super little girl! You can meet this gem in our Down Town cats room.
The 31st Annual Walk & Wag was a HUGE success. Thank you for helping us raise $140,000. That is a Walk & Wag record.
