Part-Time Animal Rescue
The Humane Society of Huron Valley seeks skilled, responsible and compassionate individual to provide rescue of injured/sick animals and to assist with animal cruelty investigations. Qualified person must have experience and knowledge in animal handling and behavior with both domestic animals and wildlife. Must have exceptional communication skills and be able to remain calm in high stress situations and the capacity to handle difficult people. Must be able to multi-task, work independently, and be responsible for applicable paperwork and computer data entry. Prior training and experience with the investigation of animal cruelty a plus. A good driving record is required. Must also be able to lift 75 pounds and become euthanasia certified. This position is part-time and candidates must have a flexible schedule and live in Washtenaw County. Starting wage is $12.75 per hour.
