The 2012 Compassionate Feast and Roast of Howdy Holmes was held on Tuesday, October 16th.

The multi-course, gourmet vegetarian dinner was attend by 260 people on a warm and beautiful fall evening at Barton Hills Country Club in Ann Arbor. Guests and sponsors together helped us reach an event record $64,000 to help abandoned, abused and homeless animals in our community.

Entertainment included bestselling author and award-winning speaker, John U. Bacon, who emceed a fun-filled evening and a roast and tribute to Howdy Holmes, president and CEO of  Chelsea Milling Co. (“JIFFY” Mix).

There are so many people to thank including the Holmes family, all of the roasters, the roast committee, and of course all of our sponsors.  Our lead sponsors for the event were Miller Canfied, KeyBank, and the J. Ferrantino Charitable Foundation.

We’d also like to send a very special thank you to Russell Video and Tom Thompson Flowers whose generous support and creativity added so much to the evening’s elegant ambiance.
