Birthday Parties at HSHV

Children ages 5-12 are invited to celebrate their birthday with the Humane Society of Huron Valley! The celebrations begin with a short presentation and an age appropriate craft that will help our adoptable animals find forever homes. Next, through a humane education lesson and a behind the scenes shelter tour, Party Animal guests will learn about all of the great things going on at HSHV and will even get to interact with a shelter animal. The last hour of the party is reserved for you to celebrate with your family and friends by serving food and drinks, opening gifts and whatever other ideas you have in mind for celebrating!

Party Times Available: Saturdays 1-3:30 pm or 2-4:30 pm, Sundays 11 am-1:30 pm.

Ages: 5-12 years

Number of Party Animal Guests Included: Up to 15 children and 4 adults (additional guests are available for $10 each with a maximum of 18 total guests, all siblings of the birthday child and guests must be included in the total count)

Price: $200

Parties Include:

• 2 1/2 hour use of the Education Center at HSHV, with the first 1 1/2 hours run by our party coordinator and volunteers
• 60 minutes of time for you to serve food, drinks, play games, etc.
• Educational presentation with one of our adoptable animals
• Shelter tour
• Two age appropriate crafts to help the animals in our shelter
• Tables with table cloths and chairs for up to 15 guests
• Use of a sink, refrigerator and counter space
• One animal-themed goodie bag per child
• Special gift for the birthday child

You Supply:

• Decorations (tabletop and balloon bouquets are recommended as we do not have
access to hang decorations from the ceiling or dry erase board. Only painter‟s tape can be used to hang decorations on the walls.)
• Paper products and utensils (including serving utensils)
• Drinks and food (including cake or other birthday treats)

Ready to Party?

When you are ready to book your party, please contact our Humane Educator to inquire about available dates. Once your requested date is selected, complete our HSHV Party Animal User Agreement Contract and send it in along with your $100 non-refundable deposit. Contracts can be sent via email, US postal mail or dropped off in person during the hours of 12pm-6pm, 7 days a week. We accept checks, cash or credit card (in person or over the phone) for all party fees. When your signed contract and deposit is received, you will receive a confirmation letter that states your party has been scheduled!
