Is the conventional volunteer program not for you? Are you looking to volunteer for just a few hours? How about lending a paw to help the animals at HSHV?
One Saturday a month, HSHV holds a Day of Service for adult and youth groups in our community. From 10am-1pm, adults and groups will have the opportunity to donate some of their time and assist around the shelter with activities such as maintenance, painting, grounds clean up, making enrichment toys, minor cleaning items, and many other opportunities! Our monthly days of service are a great way to get you or your whole group involved in making a difference in the lives of animals!
If you have a group of up to 10 interested in helping, please fill out the Day of Service online application below. Please note, the date for our next Day of Service is listed at the bottom of the application, so if your group can volunteer on that date, please fill out and submit the application. If that date will not work for your group, please visit our site the beginning of the next month for our next Day of Service.
Because of training requirements there will be no animal handling during the Days of Service. You will have the opportunity to visit with one of our shelter animals during our meet and greet.
We request a tax-deductible donation of $10 per person/group/family for the Day of Service, which will be collected when you arrive at the shelter.
If you have questions about HSHV's Day of Service volunteer program please call our volunteer coordinator at (734) 661-3564 or email us.
