Humane Society of Huron Valley: Ways to Help

Ways to Help

Our shelter takes in thousands of unwanted, lost, and abused animals each year. Our animals receive good food, veterinary care, and huge doses of TLC from staff and volunteers to keep them happy and healthy. The cost of care averages to $35/day per animal. Plus, we invest all that we can for those who need us to go the extra mile.

The result? An 81% "save rate", the highest among all similar shelters in Michigan. Please help us continue our life-saving work.

Ways to help HSHV include:

  • Making a Donation – HSHV is independently-funded and receives no support from any other humane organization. Our donors make our work possible!
  • Fundraising for HSHV – There are many fun ways for kids and adults to help raise funds for HSHV.
  • Volunteering – We couldn't do what we do without our wonderful volunteers. From dog-walking to stuffing envelopes to helping at events, our volunteers are the best!
  • Shopping with a Community Partner – There are also many organizations that partner with us. Your purchase could mean a donation for HSHV.
