Our sweet boy turned 2 in November. When we got him he was a gift to our four babies as we had made a large family move out of state, and felt they (we) deserved our first family pet. Auggie was the sweetest, most energetic, cuddliest addition to our family and fit in immediately.
We now know that our youngest son has an allergy, and we need to be certain that Auggie the Doggie finds the right family for his forever home. Our hearts are broken and he will be so very missed.

He adores children, and has never acted in a way that made us unsure of his intentions with our children for a single minute (and that includes our newborn when he was 9 months old). He loves to run and play outside, has a lot of energy to last with the kids. He also loves cuddles and to be your doggy footrest. At night he has always been crated for us, but we have left him out just a handful of times over night in the last year and he’s behaved each time. He likes new toys, and can tell when a package is for him! He loves to “hold hands,” our kids call it: which is just putting his paw in your hand and staring at you LOL. His naughty trait is that he likes to take trash outside (like a prize) and shred it lovingly in the back yard. So you definitely want to secure your trash can. 🤣
He has interacted with other dogs randomly throughout his life, and it has always been pleasant.

If you think that your family would be a good fit for Auggie, we would love the opportunity to remain connected, so that we could watch him fall in love with his new family, and grow over the years. I also think it may help ease the pain for our kids ages 1 through 10 (let alone mom & dad), if you were so willing, but not required. He is not neutered, we were not sure what the future held for us.
