Fred is a sweetheart. He enjoys getting loved on – especially head, face, chin, and ear scratches. He will usually follow you around and want to be by you because he enjoys your attention, but sometimes he will choose to be left alone. He sleeps with me almost everyday.

This is temporary rehoming for about 7 months.

He does get constipation and has arthritis so I put miralax and cosequin in his food. He costs me about $80/month that that includes health insurance ($42/month), Rachel rays food (wet and dry – $10/month), cat litter ($17/month), medicine (cosequin for cats and miralax for humans which are both over the counter – $10/month). He has early onset cataracts but unfortunately there is no treatment for it. His health condition is very manageable. In one year, I took him to the vet twice and that was just for routine check ups.

When I got him 2 years ago, it took him a month before he came out of hiding to play with me. He may take some time to adjust to you as well. He was a stray cat for approximately his first year before being rescued. He was declawed many years ago as well.

He can be good with cats, it just depends on the relationship he has with the cat. In the past, he got along with some cats but not others. He is scared of some dogs and will find a space away to be comfortable away from them. He may warm up to them as well, but I think it just depends on the cat and dog.

I also have a lot of toys I’ll pass along from Fred to you.
