Loki does not get along particularly well with dogs and we have 2. My significant other does not particularly like him and the feeling appears to be mutual. My grumpy old lady cat is not thrilled with him being around either. He really seems to want to spend most of his time here in the backyard away from the other animals while he is here. I had Loki for several years before we got a house and the dogs but when things didn’t seem to be working out, I listed him for private adoption because I didn’t want him to go back to a shelter. I found a woman that wanted him and after about a year she contacted me and told me her living situation had changed and she could no longer care for him and if I couldn’t take him, she’d have to take him back to a shelter. So….he’s back.
Loki is friendly to a fault, he’s a big cat (not overweight, just big), beautiful long black coat, he’s generally a pretty chill cat, adapts to new situations easily, is very good with young children, generally good with other cats, but really should be in a dog free home. I really did not want another cat in my life at this point, I was hoping to just let my senior kitty live out the last few years of her life in relative peace but I didn’t want to see Loki go back to a shelter. I just don’t really feel like he is happy here or gets the attention he really wants and deserves a home he is truly wanted in.
