Like many other animal shelters in Michigan, HSHV is offering only essential services and following all official recommendations to stop the spread of COVID-19. But, during this time of social isolation, community members can still connect with animals and people from the comfort of their couch.  HSHV has gone virtual!

 

Events and Activities

Join us every Tuesday and Thursday for quick and easy animal-themed crafts and animal enrichment that can be done with common household items.  Videos can be found on HSHV’s Facebook page or YouTube channel.

Join us at 7:00 pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for HSHV’s Bed Time Stories!  Ages 4+. Videos can be found on HSHV’s Facebook page or on our YouTube channel.

Stay tuned for our next Animal Photography 101 class, presented by Anne Savage, HSHV’s Photographer, this 1-hour class will teach you the basics of photography and how to apply them to capture beautiful photos of animals. While this class will mainly focus on smart phone photography, all cameras are welcome. You can register here.

Veterinary Clinic

HSHV’s Outpatient Veterinary Clinic has implemented curbside appointments for sick or injured animals and recently started telemedicine appointments for owners who are at higher risk of transmitting COVID-19. Please call the Clinic at (734) 662-4365 for more information.
