Donut is an active 2 year old hound. She is very loving and sweet and loves to play with stuffed toys and chew. She needs really tough chewing toys available all the time to prevent her from destroying her bed. Donut is also a barker, and will bark to warn you of strangers, but also to communicate (let me inside, let me outside, I want to eat, I am bored). She loves to play fetch and run. She is an indoor dog, but we have a 1 acre fenced lot where she greets neighbors at the fence and has lots of space to run around. Her next home needs to have a fenced lot with a secure gate. DTE has left the gate open in the past and she escaped.
She currently lives with a cat and they get along great, but we separate them when we leave the house. She would do best in a home without small children.
