Due to our toddler developing a rapidly worsening allergy to cats (hives, respiratory issues, etc) we are forced to re-home our beloved cat JJ. I’ve been with him since he was a stray kitten, and it hurts my soul to have to re-home him, but my son has to take priority.
JJ is without a doubt the most affectionate cat I have ever encountered. He wants 3 things, to get pets from you, to sit on your lap and to get food. He’s a talker and loves to make little purr-meow noises to get your attention. If you are standing, he will walk next to you and stand up on his hind legs and reach out his front paws and tap you to ask for more pets. JJ is 9 years old, and in great health. He’s fine with pretty much any dry cat food, (he doesn’t really like ‘human food’). He prefers to drink from a fountain as opposed to just a water bowl. He does need to be fed several small meals throughout the day via a feeder, or he eats to much and throws some of it up. If you adopt him, I’ll give you his current fountain and feeder which work fine. He loves having a box in a quiet place to nap. I work from home and he enjoys sitting on my feet during the workday.
JJ gets along quite well with other cats (we used to have others as well) and he gets along with young children very well. My son would frequently treat him as a pillow and hug him close, and JJ was happy to have the attention and was very gentle with the baby. He’s never lived with dogs, but if your dog is gentle, I see no reason why JJ wouldn’t get along with them in time.
JJ deserves a good home and I really don’t want to have to resort to dropping him at a shelter, he’s such a sweet boy. We’ve exhausted our friends and family connections and so we are resorting to listing him here and Pet Finder.
Please Help.
