Raven is a fantastic dog! This is killing me to even consider finding a better home for her but unfortunately she is not a fan of other animals in her space. We would like to find the perfect home for her and will require home and vet checks. We will be picky about who she goes to. Would love to make smooth transition for her.
First let me give you the good bad and ugly about her.
We will start with the ugly. Raven has gone after the older dog in the home several time. This last time being a bad bite. She ‘rough’ plays with our cats as well. She has not bitten them yet but definitely provokes them. She has had issues with dogs outside of our home as well but only during play. She has also had many great play dates with dogs. She is more tolerant of new dogs but once they make her mad she is very easily angered by them. She is not reactive on leash or out in public unless a dog ferociously approaches us. Then she will lunge but is easily corrected. We are looking for a home with no other animals and a fenced in yard to keep other animals out. She has never shown any aggression towards people of any age. She loves everyone from my 90 year old grandmas to my 2 year old niece. Even the Amazon driver. I can give more information if interested.

The Bad: Raven does not love car rides. She rides nice in the car but you can tell it’s not her favorite place. So she would not love to be your driving companion. She is also not a runner. So if you’re looking for a running buddy she’s not for you. She’s also scared of garbage bags and her reflection.

The good: Raven is truly the best dog. I have put TONS of time training her and working with her. She walks well on leash, goes into stores, fully crate trained but can also be left out for hours with no issues, completely house broke, pushes button to go outside. Knows sit, down, stay, leave it, drop it, rollover, crawl, bow, heel, touch and more. She has completed in 4H dog shows with 12 year old handler. Shewon high point for obedience this year! She also has earned a few AKC certificate like CGC, trick dog, fit dog and farm dog. Raven has no separation anxiety but loves to be with her people. So she is a Velcro dog when you are home. She is not a runner and currently trained to our invisible fence (but would do better with actual fence) she is very trainable and loves to learn new things. Very food and attention motivated.

The Great: Raven has long hair but doesn’t require hair cuts. Never gets longer than is. Doesn’t get mats and easily brushed. She is a non to minimal shedder, but I would not say hypoallergenic. She is not a lazy dog but not high strung either. She loves to go for a 5 mile hike or just hang out at home cuddling She is a very loyal dog and just wants to be by your side whatever it is you’re doing. She is not allowed in furniture except basement couch for movie nights.

The Cute: Raven has a shoe fetish. She has never chewed a shoe but loves to bring them to you. When you walk in the door she runs and grabs a shoe to greet you. Or when you take them off she brings them back to you. She will get shoes to cuddle if she’s sad. If Raven doesn’t have a shoe in her mouth to greet you she greets with the cutest submissive smile. She will lift her lips and smile real big! She has the most expressive eyes. You can tell what she’s thinking at all time. She does the cutest head tilts when she’s trying to figure things out. She loves to swim and loves diving for rocks in the pond. I could go on and on about her.

If you think this sounds like the dog for you please reach out for more information and to set up meet and greet. This is a very hard decision for us to make so please understand our tears at meet and greet.
We just feel there is a better opportunity for her out there to be only dog. Currently she is getting crated or separated from family half the time to give other dog time in home not scared.

We are looking for single, couple or family with teenage children. No other pets in home and no plans to ever have other pets. No family members that bring dogs over. Fenced in yard or very rural. Someone that’s home more than away. Understands dog behavior. History with reactive dogs a plus.
