Spreading Kindness Every Spring

The Healthy Musician Institute does an event every spring where they do community outreach for HSHV. For this outreach, they collect items for the homeless dogs and cats at the Humane Society waiting for their forever families. The items they donated this year included food, toys, blankets, and more! Thank you to the Healthy Musician Institute for loving animals so much!

Donations From Dexter Girls on the Run

The Girls on the Run from Dexter chose HSHV for their end of season community impact project. These girls made a big effort to donate to HSHV by making signs about donations and collecting donations at their school. By organizing this fundraiser, they were able to donate towels, canned food, dry food, pill pockets, lint rollers, and even money! Thank you to Girls on the Run in Dexter for giving back to the animals!

Troop 40487 Treats Our Dogs

Girl Scout Troop 40487 earned their “Pets” badge by giving to the dogs of HSHV! Each girl scout made a treat bag for a dog, and these wonderfully decorated bags contained tons of tasty treats for pups. This Girl Scout Troop LOVES dogs! Sophie and Natalie led the meeting and came up with the plan themselves. After teaching the other scouts about HSHV and how to make the treat bags, they donated the finished products! Thank you to these pet-lovers for spending time creating something fun and yummy for our dogs!

Kindness From Mrs. Marshall’s Class

Mrs. Marshall’s class came to HSHV for a visit! While they were here, they got to learn about our animal friends and take a tour to visit the adoptable dogs and cats who are waiting for their forever homes. While they came to learn, Mrs. Marshall’s class also gave back to the shelter by making generous donations! Families brought food, toys, treats, and more for our animals here. Thank you to Mrs. Marshall’s class for spreading kindness to our shelter pets!
