Age: Sex: Female   Breed: Shepherd  Weight: 55 Pounds

Jade arrived here as a stray and started out very nervous but has become comfortable with staff here. She is likely housetrained, as she keeps her kennel very clean. She will need to meet any dog siblings prior to going to foster and would likely be most comfortable with a calmer dog who is not eager to rush into play. We do not have any history on her regarding cats, so she would need a separate space and a slow, controlled introduction if living with any cats in foster. Due to her shy nature, she will need a home without kids under 12 and should meet all members of the household before going to foster. Jade would benefit from a foster experienced with reactivity training, as she is sometimes reactive to unfamiliar people or dogs.

How to Foster Jade:

New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and signing up to become a new foster. Veteran foster parents can email fosters@hshv.org to schedule a pickup appointment.
