Preparing for your appointment:

• Cats must be in carriers
• Dogs must be on leashes
• No food after midnight for pets older than 4 months; water is fine to leave out
• If your pet is under 4 months of age, you can feed a light breakfast at or before 6 AM
• We require your pet(s) to be up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccinations. Please either bring them with you the morning of your appointment, or email them to clinic@hshv.org ahead of time
• If your animal is not up-to-date on these, or you do not have proof of vaccinations, we will vaccinate same day for an additional charge
• See below for information about filling out your consent form(s) ahead of time.

Check In Process:

Check in is at 8 AM for all pets. If you are not here by 8:30 AM you may be asked to reschedule to another date.

• Check-in is strictly curbside
• This process is first come, first served, and could take up to a half hour
• Phones turn on at exactly 8 AM. Call 734-662-4365 and press 1. This will put you into a queue system. Do not hang up or you will be put to the back of the queue.
• Payment will be taken at time of check-in

Check-Out Process:

• Dog pick-up is between 2-3 PM same day
• Cat pick-up is between 4-5 PM same day
• You can enter the Veterinary Clinic lobby when you get here; you do not have to call ahead

Consent Forms:

One consent form per pet is required.

• A form can be e-signed
• Click here to print out at home and have ahead of time
• If you cannot print out ahead of time, they are available outside of the main entrance the morning of your appointment
• After reading the consent form, if you elect for us to not go forward with CPR and would like your pet indicated as “Do Not Resuscitate,” please fill out this DNR form

Reschedule/Cancel:

• There is a $25 missed appointment fee if you were to no-show to this appointment
