Atticus is an older gentleman who would much appreciate a quiet place to rest. He enjoys training sessions and loves to learn and be engaged. He has been gaining confidence with meeting new people and warms up well with some yummy treats (especially cheese). Due to his older age and avoidance/discomfort with dogs seen in the shelter, he would be most comfortable with a household with no other dogs. He does not have much history with small children, but has not shown discomfort or reactivity around them during brief interactions at the shelter. He has a history of intense cat chasing and will need a foster home without them. Overall, Atticus would benefit from even a week or two outside of the shelter to catch a break from the goings-on and get some well-deserved rest.
