Saving Animals with Savings

Simon is such a kind kid!  He loves animals and decided that he wanted to help the animal residents at HSHV, so he started saving his allowance each week.  Each week, Simon placed a portion of his allowance in a share jar for the animals at HSHV, then donated the funds to HSHV!  Thank you, Simon!  We are so grateful for your generosity, and we know the animals are too!

Nora’s Awesome Birthday!

Nora is a very kind kid!  She loves animals and her family adopted their cats from HSHV, which inspired her to help the other animals at HSHV.  Nora recently celebrated her birthday and asked for donations to HSHV instead of gifts!  She collected dog food, dog treats, dog toys, cat food, cat treats, cat toys, and leashes.  Thank you so much for thinking of the animals on your birthday, Nora!  We appreciate your kindness, and we know the animals do too!

Classroom Creativity

Ms.  Treber’s 1st grade class at Harvest Elementary are such kind kids!  Students wanted to share their holiday spirit with the homeless animals at HSHV, so they created wonderful no-sew blankets for the dogs!  Students spent time tying felt during their holiday party to create soft fleece blankets, which were then donated to the animals at HSHV!  Thank you so much, Harvest Elementary!  We greatly appreciate your kindness and generosity towards the animals in our community.

Terrific Troop #40938

The members of Girl Scout Troop #40938 are such kind kids!  They love animals and voted to help the animals at HSHV as a part of their service project.  Members used their meetings to make cat toys and scratching boxes.  They also collected and donated cat litter, towels, and dog toys.  Thank you so much, Troop #40938!  We greatly appreciate your kindness and generosity.

Super Siblings

Skyler and Parker are such kind kids!  They love animals and have only adopted rescue animals into their family.  Skyler and Parker donate to shelters every year and chose HSHV as the recipient of their donations this year!  They collected and donated a variety of items including crate mats, blankets, and cat toys!  Thank you so much, Skyler and Parker!  We greatly appreciate your kindness.

Exceptional Evelyn

Evelyn is a very kind kid!  She loves animals and has two rescue dogs at home, which inspired her to also help the animals at HSHV!  Evelyn used her Christmas money from her grandma to purchase many wonderful items for the homeless dogs at HSHV.  She donated dog beds, food, treats, and toys!  Thank you so much, Evelyn!  We greatly appreciate your wonderful donation.

Lucas Gives Back

Lucas is very kind!  He was working on his Eagle Scout project and was inspired to help outdoor cats through HSHV’s TNR program. Classroom Kindness

Orchard Hills School is so kind!  The second-grade class collected several bags of used towels, blankets, sheets, and other bedding for the animals at HSHV.  Students collected items to help the animals at HSHV stay clean and warm during the cold winter months.  Thank you so much, Orchard Hills School!  We appreciate your kindness, and we know the animals will love the towels and bedding you donated for them.

A Yard Sale for the Animals

August and Oscar are very kind! They love animals and had adopted their guinea pigs from HSHV, which inspired them to help the other animals at HSHV.  They raised funds by selling their old toys, then used the funds to purchase dog toys!  August and Oscar then donated the toys and additional funds to help the homeless animals at HSHV!  Thank you so much, August and Oscar!  We are so thankful for your wonderful donation.

Selling Hot Chocolate to Benefit the Animals

Talin, Levi, Yusuf, Silas, Ruby, Luca and Elias are such kind kids!  They love animals and wanted to help the animals looking for homes at HSHV, so they organized a hot chocolate stand.  Hot chocolate, cookies, and a variety of toppings were sold to benefit the animals of HSHV.  All proceeds were then donated to HSHV!  Thank you so much, Talin, Levi, Yusuf, Silas, Ruby, Luca and Elias!  We greatly appreciate your wonderful donation.
