As I walked into the petting room to sit down with “Baxter,” the image of his tiny 10lb. body cowering in the corner of a large kennel would forever etch itself into my memory. As he was brought in I grabbed some toys, but he was NOT interested – instead immediately hopping onto my lap and cuddling up.

This first interaction summarizes Baxter’s – now Chachi’s – new home and the cuddles we constantly share. He has grown into a confident young pup who is taking on the world. We’ve dealt with mild “aggression” issues, but he was just scared and unsure because nobody had ever taken their time with his soft soul. In the year and a half that I have had him, he has blossomed and brought so much joy to my life. Thank you HSHV!
