Meet Bitsy! She was extremely fearful when she first arrived in the shelter but has been warming up in her foster home a lot! She lived with another dog last time she was in foster which was beneficial for her. Here is what her previous foster has to say about her:
“Bitsy seems to be house-trained, as she only had some accidents (when alone or unsupervised) during her first week in foster and has learned the routine since then. She is a nervous girl who has come out of her shell but would do best in a quiet home environment. She takes her meds easily (in cream cheese or spray cheese), eats her kibble right away, and enjoys playing with her dog foster sister! A confident dog sibling seems to help Bitsy feel more comfortable! She stays loose in a guest room at night, when home alone, or when not able to be supervised. She was calm the handful of times she was crated, but became reluctant to go inside the crate, so we are working on training in regards that. She’s pretty quiet and has only barked when random noises outside spook her or will whine if she needs to go outside. Bitsy needs a home without cats due to wanting to chase them. A fenced yard would be ideal but not required as she has pretty good leash manners, but does enjoy playing in a yard.”
