Boss has been struggling with being confined to a kennel and we would like to get him out into a home environment were he will be more comfortable. He can be a little nervous and sometimes takes a minute to warm up to new people, but loves some good scritches once he is your friend. He loves to hang out outside in our play yards and take in the sights and smells. He has shown some resource guarding around his food bowl but has otherwise been comfortable with treats for training. This behavior does not always transfer from a kennel environment to a home, but fosters should still practice management around his food bowl and other high value items. He needs a foster home without other dogs or cats. He could go to a home with older kids who can respect his space.
How to Foster Boss:
New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and signing up to become a new foster. Veteran foster parents can email fosters@hshv.org to schedule a pickup appointment.
