Donations From Dexter Girls on the Run

The Girls on the Run from Dexter chose HSHV for their end of season community impact project. These girls made a big effort to donate to HSHV by making signs about donations and collecting donations at their school. By organizing this fundraiser, they were able to donate towels, canned food, dry food, pill pockets, lint rollers, and even money! Troop 40487 Treats Our Dogs

Girl Scout Troop 40487 earned their “Pets” badge by giving to the dogs of HSHV! Each girl scout made a treat bag for a dog, and these wonderfully decorated bags contained tons of tasty treats for pups. This Girl Scout Troop LOVES dogs! Sophie and Natalie led the meeting and came up with the plan themselves. After teaching the other scouts about HSHV and how to make the treat bags, they donated the finished products! Thank you to these pet-lovers for spending time creating something fun and yummy for our dogs!

Kindness From Mrs. Marshall’s Class

Mrs. Marshall’s class came to HSHV for a visit! While they were here, they got to learn about our animal friends and take a tour to visit the adoptable dogs and cats who are waiting for their forever homes. While they came to learn, Mrs. Marshall’s class also gave back to the shelter by making generous donations! Families brought food, toys, treats, and more for our animals here. Skye and Victoria Make a Difference

Skye and Victoria made a generous donation to the Humane Society as part of a school project that Skye did to help out her community. Skye worked hard doing activities like dog walking and yard work to raise money, and then came to our shelter to give the proceeds to homeless animals in need. Paige is Pawsome!

Paige came in to donate to HSHV and gave the animals here a bounty of cat and dog food and lots of yummy treats. Paige was able to make this generous donation because she asked for items to donate for her birthday party instead of presents! A Helping Hand From Girls on the Run

The Girls on the Run team at Ypsilanti International Elementary School had to choose a community project at the end of their season, and organize all of their own efforts to make it possible. They chose to help out the Humane Society of Huron Valley, and we are so grateful! Shahpari Helps the Shelter

Shahpari and her friends did a fundraiser at their school, all to benefit shelter animals! Shahpari is an animal lover, and she wanted to help homeless creatures out however she could. Shahpari brought us the items that they collected through the fundraiser, and these included dog bowls, toys, leashes, dog and cat food, and beds. Ally Gives to Animals

Zoey the dog joined Ally’s family after they adopted her from HSHV, and after Zoey found her perfect ending, Ally decided to give back. Instead of birthday gifts, Ally asked her guests to bring donations to the shelter! Ally brought toys, food, litter, and towels for all of the animals who are still waiting for their forever homes. Maddie and Julia’s Super Bake Sale

When Maddie and Julia decided they wanted to help the Humane Society of Huron Valley, they got together a bunch of yummy treats and snacks. The bake sale that these two ladies put on was a huge success, and they came to HSHV afterwards to donate the money they had made.
