We adopted Dallas (now Drasek) back in 2015. We were told he was a “repeat offender,” having been in and out of HSHV several times. He has a destructive side that proved to be challenging for many owners. This was to be his last adoption, and when we brought our dog Chloe in to meet him, they immediately bonded.

The first few years were rough. He broke out of every kennel he was ever placed in, tore up some drywall, ate all the food in the pantry! But eventually we came to an understanding, and with a bit of training and medication, he has truly grown into a great companion.

It’s been 10 years of adventures with him, camping all over Michigan, down to Kentucky, and even to Virginia! We’ve received many complements on his good demeanor, and behavior on a leash. I’m truly proud of the progress he’s made and I’m glad we were able to give him the home he desperately needed.
