Diesel is a shy but sweet boy who is easily overwhelmed in the shelter environment. He can take time to warm up to new people, but is typically avoidant and appeasing and warms up with some treats. He is a typically food motivated guy who likes engaging with training. He is only a year old and is likely to have a bit of adolescent energy, and will need regular exercise, enrichment and training to help him be successful, as any young dog does. He does have a history of being jumpy and excitable, and may accidently scratch or knock over particularly small children. He has not been comfortable meeting dogs here and would likely be most comfortable as the only dog in the home. He does not have history with cats and will need a slow intro with the ability to separate while he is integrated into the home.
