When I found Potato’s (then Frances) HSHV profile, it said all she wanted was a soft place to land. There was no picture, which I found out when I visited her was because she had just gotten her eye removed! Adopting a 6-pound, newly one-eyed senior cat for my first adult pet has been quite a ride, but I’ve learned so much and it has been the most gratifying experience of my life. One year later, she has grown into a cuddly, opinionated, *very* vocal cat, and in the end has offered me a soft place to land just as much, if not more, than I to her.
