I had a blue pit named scooter who I had to put down around six months ago. He was 13 1/2 years old. I wanted to get a dog right away, but I had an elderly cat. I waited until my cat passed away at 20.5 years old.

Less than a week later, I came and adopted Jacks. I don’t have a fenced-in yard so I have to take him out on a leash. As you guys know, he is strong as a bull! I purchased a training collar that I haven’t started using yet. The day I brought him home I let him run in the backyard and it was hard trying to get control of him. He listens very well inside the house, but once he gets outside all bets are off. I have a lot of work to do with him. If he sees any type of critter in the backyard, including birds, it’s everything I can do to hold him back. He sleeps in the bed with me every single night. I’m just going to have to keep working with him. Other than a few little problems he’s wonderful. I had a Nyla bone from my previous dog, that thing was no match for Jacks! I have some Kong toys that I put treats in, that keeps him busy for a little while. All in all, I’m very happy with Jacks. This is his forever home.
