Age: 2 Sex: Female Breed: Shepherd Weight: 67lbs Restrictions: Must Meet Dogs. No cats. No Young Kids.
Jade arrived here as a stray several months ago and started out very nervous but became comfortable with staff and volunteers here. She has enjoyed playgroups here at the shelter but will need to meet any dog siblings prior to going to foster to make sure their play styles match. She will need a foster home without cats due to her prey drive. Due to her shy nature, she will need a home without young kids and would benefit from meeting all members of the household before going to foster. She initially displayed reactivity toward unfamiliar people and dogs but that ceased as she became more comfortable. She was adopted briefly, but recently returned to the shelter due to work schedule changes. She is a high energy girl, so will need a foster willing to give her plenty of exercise and enrichment!
How to Foster Jade:
New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and signing up to become a new foster. Veteran foster parents can email fosters@hshv.org to schedule a pickup appointment.
