Age: Sex: Female   Breed: Shepherd  Weight: 55 Pounds

Jade arrived here as a stray a few months ago and started out very nervous but has become comfortable with staff and volunteers here. She is likely housetrained, as she keeps her kennel very clean. She has enjoyed playgroups here at the shelter but will need to meet any dog siblings prior to going to foster to make sure their play styles match. She will need a foster home without cats due to her prey drive. Due to her shy nature, she will need a home without young kids and would benefit from meeting all members of the household before going to foster. She initially displayed reactivity toward unfamiliar people and dogs but has become more comfortable and shown a large decrease in reactivity here at the shelter. She would benefit from a foster experienced with reactivity training to continue working on her skills.

How to Foster Jade:

New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and signing up to become a new foster. Veteran foster parents can email fosters@hshv.org to schedule a pickup appointment.
