Age: 5   Sex: Male   Breed: Retriever, Labrador   Weight: 63lbs   Restrictions: No Kids. No Dogs (at this time)

Kodak struggles with confinement and has been very stressed in his kennel here at the shelter. His surrender profile indicates that he is a fairly well rounded dog who used to go to the dog park and is able to warm up to new people with a little bit of patience, but his stress levels here have resulted in him struggling with interacting with other dogs and unknown people. We are hoping we can see more of his true personality in a foster environment where he can get more one on one attention and does not have to spend most of his time in confinement. He will likely do best in a foster home without young children and due to his struggles with dog intros at the shelter we think he may be most successful as an only dog at this time. His surrender profile states he is good with cats, but will still benefit from a slow and controlled intro.

How to Foster Kodak:

New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and signing up to become a new foster. Veteran foster parents can email fosters@hshv.org to schedule a pickup appointment.
