Would your students like to enrich their learning by visiting the Humane Society of Huron Valley? Designed for those in Kindergarten through 8th grade, field trips to HSHV include two hours of hands-on animal fun led by our humane education staff and volunteers. The program includes an interactive shelter tour, a lesson in humane education, enrichment toy making for our furry friends and an animal interaction to teach youth how to safely approach and handle animals. We have programs suitable for grades K-8 that meet many Common Core Standards. Field trips are available during the school year on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from either 10 am – 12 pm or 12 pm – 2 pm and are $7 per person (up to 3 teachers/teacher aides free; parents are asked to pay $7 fee). We’re sorry, we’re unable to offer field trips June through August. Looking for a field trip experience for your pre-school or pre-k group? Check out our Little Paws Story Time to book a private event.
A minimum of 15 youth are required in order to schedule a field trip. Due to space limitations, we have a maximum of 30 participants. Please complete the request form below to inquire about available dates and times. Field trips are designed for those in grades K-8.
