Nellie is a sweet girl once she is comfortable with you. She has been at the shelter since March and would love to get out for even a couple weeks (though preferably long-term). She can be nervous around strangers and would do best in a quieter home environment without a lot of visitors or young children. She has been calm and polite when spending time in the behavior office. She is not comfortable interacting with other dogs, so will need a foster home where she can be the one and only! She has shown prey drive here toward animals outside and would likely do best in a home without cats, or with the ability to keep her separate from any cats in the home. She does appear to be house-trained. Nellie was able to get out of the shelter for a short break with a staff member and enjoyed cuddling and napping on the bed. Nellie is very smart, picks up on training quickly, and would love to spend some time in a home!
