Nellie is a sweet girl who can be a little shy with strangers, but warms up quickly. She has been calm and polite when spending time in the behavior office. She is not comfortable around other dogs, so will need a foster home without other dogs and someone willing to work with her on reactivity training. Nellie is very smart and has been picking up on training quickly! We do not have any history on her around cats, so she would need a separate space and slow introductions if going to a home with any cats. She would do best in a home without young kids and will need to keep her activity levels low as she is heartworm positive and starting treatment for that. She does appear to be house-trained and will appreciate a foster home that can provide her with plenty of enrichment while on exercise restriction.
