Age: 1   Sex: Female  Breed: Pit Mix    Weight: 47lbs    Restrictions: No Dogs. No Kids.

Nyx recently returned to the shelter and would benefit from living in foster. She is an adolescent dog who will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to work on basic manners. She can be nervous around new people and dogs, but warms up quickly with a slow, gentle approach. She has enjoyed playing with other dogs, but needs to be the only dog in the home due to resource guarding seen in a previous home. We do not have any history on her with cats, so fosters would need the ability to separate and introduce slowly in the home. She will need a foster home with older kids or adults only due to her nervousness and arousal/excitement behavior.

How to Foster Nyx:

New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and signing up to become a new foster. Veteran foster parents can email fosters@hshv.org to schedule a pickup appointment.
