Oak is seeking a foster home! He is large boy who acts like a puppy and needs help learning his basic manners, along with working on reactivity toward things/strangers that scare him. He has done well in playgroups here and would likely do best in a home with another dog that he can play with and learn from. He will need an experienced foster who is comfortable with his size and willing to work on positive reinforcement training. He will need a home without young kids and would likely do best in a quieter environment. We do not have any history with him in relation to cats, so a separate space and ability to slowly introduce to any cats in the home would be needed.

How to Foster Oak:

New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and signing up to become a new foster. Veteran foster parents can email fosters@hshv.org to schedule a pickup appointment.
