The Ann Arbor’s 107one Pet-of-the-week is Barbie Girl!

Barbie Girl is fearful of people, but would love to be adopted with another cat and can bond with humans if they are patient and give her plenty of time. She is one of our Barn Cats, under-socialized and preferring little to no human contact. Barn cats ask only for shelter from the elements, regular food and water and veterinary care. Adopting a barn cat can be a mutually beneficial relationship – you will be saving the life of a healthy cat, while they will help scare off small, pesky rodents! Head to hshv.org/barncats to apply.

All dogs and cats available for adoption through the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. which is included in their affordable adoption fee.

Hi my name is Raisin! I am a shy kind of dog who is looking for a patient adopter who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. Once I get more comfortable, I will come out of my shell and start to show more of my true personality. I love to play but I can be sensitive when it gets to be too much, I may do best in a home without young children. I’m a sensitive guy, other animals can overwhelm me, so I’d like to be the only one in your life.

Hi there! My name is Eugene, and I am trying really hard to be a great dog for your home! I am a pretty easy going guy who prefers the smaller things in life. I love walks filled with smells, cheese, warm naps on blankets, cheese, and spending time with people, especially when they give me cheese! I have even met other dogs and I really like them! Sometimes I can be a bit too much when I get excited, so slow introductions to other animals and children would be best. I would really love a chance to be welcomed into a loving home, so please come meet me and see if I am the right fit for you!
