Adopt a Pet-of-the-Week!

These are some of our staff’s favorite animals. Shout out to our media partners for helping homeless pets find great homes! You can listen to us talk about these Pets of the Week on Thursdays around 7:30 a.m. on Ann Arbor’s 107one, 8:05 a.m. on WTKA, and around 10 a.m. on Saturday on 1290 AM WLBY.

The Ann Arbor's 107one Pet-of-the-week is Keke!

The Ann Arbor’s 107one Pet-of-the-week is Keke!

Keke is the NICEST bunny, but has spent the past month being overlooked by adopters! This super sweet and active 2 year old bunny will come bouncing up to greet you when you walk in the door. She’s is a big favorite among HSHv’s Junior Volunteers. Keke loves attention, is incredibly easy for handling, and is happiest when she’s hanging out with you in the play pen flopped over on her side. This princess would do well in a household where she gets lots of attention. Bunnies are a commitment, and HSHV’s Adoptions team is happy to talk you through proper housing options and what you can expect when caring for a domestic rabbit! Contact them at 734-662-5585 or adoptions@hshv.org to learn more.
As a member of the Gold Hearts Club, Keke has been waiting over a month for adoption and is free to adopt if you’re the right fit.
All animals available for adoption through the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. which is included in their affordable adoption fee.

The WTKA Top-Dog-of-the-Week is Marlo!

The WTKA Top-Dog-of-the-Week is Marlo!

Marlo’s a staff favorite: shy but very sweet, loves to hang out, get treats lay his big ol’ head in your lap. If you’re patient with Marlo and can give him time to settle in, you’ll see what an affectionate adventure buddy he can be. He’s looking for a home without kids under 5, and possibly without other dogs — but maybe a canine companion will work out if he meets them first! We don’t know his history with cats, but can give advice on a slow introduction.
Marlo has been at HSHV for over a month. Let’s not make it two! Come visit him any day of the week or call 734-662-5585 to learn more.

The Lucy Ann Lance Show Pet-of-the-Week is Rocky Balboa!

The Lucy Ann Lance Show Pet-of-the-Week is Rocky Balboa!

Hello, my name is Rocky Balboa! I came to HSHV after suffering from quite a big injury, but thankfully I am a fighter and recovered very well. I am relaxing very happily now in a foster home, and my foster parents say I am a delightful companion who will make any family happy. Could I be the one for you? Please contact the adoptions team to arrange a meeting with me, so you can see if we’re a purr-fect match. As a Gold Hearts Club member, my adoption fee is waived because I have been waiting patiently, longer than most other animals. IF you’re the right fit, please call 734-662-5585 or email adoptions@hshv.org to meet me!
