Adopt a Pet-of-the-Week!

These are some of our staff’s favorite animals. Shout out to our media partners for helping homeless pets find great homes! You can listen to us talk about these Pets of the Week on Thursdays around 7:30 a.m. on Ann Arbor’s 107one, 8:05 a.m. on WTKA, and around 10 a.m. on Saturday on 1290 AM WLBY.

The Ann Arbor’s 107one Pet-of-the-week is Myotis!

Thank you to Myotis’ foster for backing us up — we agree he’s just about the best buddy you could ask for:
“This super sweet guy, Myotis (I just call him Otis), is just about the perfect dog!
✨Zero accidents
✨Great in the crate
✨Only plays with appropriate toys
✨Walks great on a leash, but is happy to just hang out in a yard
✨He is cuddly but not clingy
✨He takes his meds nicely (but can be a little picky about what the meds are wrapped in) and is super gentle taking treats!”
Myotis has been with us since August. He was rather overwhelmed at the shelter, but is decompressing so well in his foster home! Myotis would thrive in a home without kids under 12, or cats, and is FREE to adopt if he finds the right match. Call us at 734-662-5585 to meet him!
All animals available for adoption through the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. which is included in their affordable adoption fee.

The WTKA Top-Dog-of-the-Week is Ashoka!

The WTKA Top-Dog-of-the-Week is Ashoka!

Hey my name is Ashoka! I am a good dog looking for an adopter willing to offer proper training, socialization, and exercise. I am a quick learner, and with the help of some yummy treats, I will make you proud with my excellent manners. I do have A LOT of energy and may be a bit too much for some families! However, a lot of energy also means a lot of LOVE! With time, training, and patience- you can help me be the best dog I can be! I’m a high energy dog, I love to jump and play. My energy may not be suitable for young children.

The Lucy Ann Lance Show Pet-of-the-Week is Mumble!

The Lucy Ann Lance Show Pet-of-the-Week is Mumble!

Hello! My name is Mumble! I am on the search for my forever family. I like meeting new people, going for adventures to sightsee and smell every new smell, and eating all kinds of yummy snacks. Speaking of treats, I don’t always take them politely from people’s hands when offered, so I would need a home without children under 5. Although I am not reactive to dogs, I have not enjoyed playdates with them very much, so I would need to be the only dog in the home for my own comfort and happiness. Please come meet me soon at the shelter, and let’s get this friendship started. Don’t forget to speak clearly when you say “Mumble is the one for me!”
