Adopt a Pet-of-the-Week!

These are some of our staff’s favorite animals. Shout out to our media partners for helping homeless pets find great homes! You can listen to us talk about these Pets of the Week on Thursdays around 7:30 a.m. on Ann Arbor’s 107one, 8:05 a.m. on WTKA, and around 10 a.m. on Saturday on 1290 AM WLBY.

The Ann Arbor’s 107one Pet-of-the-week is Tex

Tex is a beautiful cockatiel in need of a patient and understanding home. With time, consistency, and a calm environment, he may become more comfortable and he will do best with someone who respects his space and understands bird behavior. Cockatiels are social birds that do best with daily interaction and plenty of toys to keep them entertained. If you’re ready to welcome a little companion into your life, Tex might be the perfect match!

All the animals available for adoption through the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. which is included in their affordable adoption fee.

The WTKA Top-Dog-of-the-Week is Raine

Hi my name is Raine! I am a shy kind of dog who is looking for a patient owner who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. I can be rather shy so I would prefer a quieter home without younger children. I will seek comfort from my favorite people while I work on my confidence. If you give me a chance, you could be just the person I am looking for, and I could be the dog to make you feel complete!

The Lucy Ann Lance Show Pet-of-the-Week is Mary Linda

Hi my name is Mary Linda! I am a shy cat looking for a patient adopter who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. I can be rather shy so I would prefer a quieter home without younger children. Once I get comfortable, I will come out of my shell and start to show more of my true personality. After all, the best things in life are worth waiting for – like a special bond with a cat who likes the calmer side of life.

Mary Linda is Feline Leukemia (FeLV) positive. FeLV is a serious virus that is contagious to other cats (but not contagious to people or other species of animals). It may cause a shortened lifespan but FeLV cats have so much fun and love to give. Please call or come in to find out more.
