Adopt a Pet-of-the-Week!

These are some of our staff’s favorite animals. Shout out to our media partners for helping homeless pets find great homes! You can listen to us talk about these Pets of the Week on Thursdays around 7:30 a.m. on Ann Arbor’s 107one, 8:05 a.m. on WTKA, and around 10 a.m. on Saturday on 1290 AM WLBY.

The Ann Arbor’s 107one Pet-of-the-week is Mary Linda!

Confidence has never been my strong suit. New people and new homes can make me nervous. But with time, patience, and lots of extra love, I bloom into a snuggly lovebug! I enjoy the finer things in life, like a warm windowsill to lounge in, a basket of toys to play with, and snuggling up with my favorite people! My foster parents have described me as active, goofy, and a lap cat! My ideal home would allow me time to get used to my forever home and family before expecting this wonderful personality to show. I will also require a home without young children to keep me happy! Ask about me today!

Mary Linda is Feline Leukemia (FeLV) positive. FeLV is a serious virus that is contagious to other cats (but not contagious to people or other species of animals). It may cause a shortened lifespan but FeLV cats have so much fun and love to give. Please call or come in to find out more.

All the animals available for adoption through the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. which is included in their affordable adoption fee.

The WTKA Top-Dog-of-the-Week is Lil Potato!

Hi my name is Lil Potato! I am a shy kind of dog who is looking for a patient adopter who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. I will seek comfort from my favorite people while I work on my confidence. If you give me a chance, you could be just the person I am looking for, and I could be the dog to make you feel complete!

The Lucy Ann Lance Show Pet-of-the-Week is Huey!

Hi my name is Huey! I am a good boy and looking for an active adopter willing to offer training and exercise. In return, I can offer unconditional love and years of happiness. I love to play, but I can be sensitive when it gets to be too much and would do best in a home without young children or other dogs. I do have some big feelings about some things in this world and tend to express this by reacting with barking and pulling. Luckily, this behavior is very trainable with positive reinforcement methods and I am learning a lot with my friends at the shelter! Visit www.hshv.org for more information or come to meet me so you can talk to my fans at the front desk!
