Adopt a Pet-of-the-Week!

These are some of our staff’s favorite animals. Shout out to our media partners for helping homeless pets find great homes! You can listen to us talk about these Pets of the Week on Thursdays around 7:30 a.m. on Ann Arbor’s 107one, 8:05 a.m. on WTKA, and around 10 a.m. on Saturday on 1290 AM WLBY.

The Ann Arbor's 107one Pet-of-the-week is Peppermint Patty!

The Ann Arbor’s 107one Pet-of-the-week is Peppermint Patty!

Hi my name is Peppermint Patty, and I am an adorable kitten on the prowl for a forever home! I am very curious of the world around me and would love to have some guidance while I explore and learn. I’m looking for someone to be that person for me, will you be the one?

Peppermint Patty is Feline Leukemia (FeLV) positive. FeLV is a virus which weakens a cat’s immune system, and is contagious to other cats — she should not live with other feline friends, unless they are also FeLV+. Ask us more about FeLV! 734-662-5585 or adoptions@hshv.org.

The animals available for adoption through the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. which is included in their affordable adoption fee.

The WTKA Top-Dog-of-the-Week is House!

The WTKA Top-Dog-of-the-Week is House!

Hi my name is House! I am a shy kind of dog who is looking for a patient adopter who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. Once I get more comfortable, I will come out of my shell and start to show more of my true personality. If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an adoption survey online or in the shelter. I can get nervous when I first meet someone, it’d be best for me to meet my potential dog siblings before I go home. I may do best in a home without young children or cats.

The Lucy Ann Lance Show Pet-of-the-Week is Tannenbaum!

The Lucy Ann Lance Show Pet-of-the-Week is Tannenbaum!

Meet Tannenbaum!- aka “Tanner”, aka “Mr. T”

This squishy-faced sweetheart is as charming as he is affectionate. Tanner loves getting out for walks and happily trots along, soaking up the sights and smells. He already knows basic commands like sit, shake, fetch and drop your ball. With his high treat motivation, he’s eager to keep learning and make you proud.

Mr. T is wonderfully friendly and thrives on affection-he’s the kind of dog who wants to be near his people and share the love. When he’s fully relaxed, he may even serenade you with a little snoring, which only adds to his endearing personality. He coexists nicely with his (2) resident dog siblings, but would also be perfectly happy as an only dog, soaking up all the attention. He has excellent house manners, is housebroken, and crate trained. If you’re looking for a loving companion with a soft face, an even softer heart, and a touch of sleepy-time charm, Tanner might just be your perfect match.

Tannenbaum is currently living in one of our amazing foster homes! Adopting from foster is easy! Just call 734-662-5585 or email adoptions@hshv.org to set up a visit today!
