Bald Eagle rejoins Ann Arbor family, after rescue from fishing wire

Ann Arbor, MI (May 21, 2021) — Dangling upside down, entangled in a mass of fishing line which tied him to a branch hanging over Huron River, about 4 feet from shore and 1 foot from water, a Bald Eagle needed rescuing. Troop #77328 Helps Our Animals

The Girl Scouts of Troop #77328 are kind kids indeed! They wanted to earn their Animal Journey badge and decided to help the animals at HSHV. They used funds raised from cookie sales to buy items to donate. Troop #77328 donated towels, dog beds,  litter, litter boxes, bandanas, cat carriers, Ziploc bags, rabbit toys, and food for the dogs, cats, and rabbits. How to become a cat person

My last cat died before I was married and my husband had never had a cat at all. He used to have a dog. I missed having furry family enough to switch teams and get a dog, but my husband knew how much I love cats – so he agreed to be the one to switch. We found Scotty at HSHV. In memorium – Nora Mayes

With heartfelt sympathy for her many friends and family, we are saddened by the loss of our beautiful young friend and coworker, Nora Mayes. Nora died May 11, 2021 after suffering a severe allergic reaction from an insect sting. Nora was well known for her incredibly sweet and helpful nature. Nora had an easy laugh and brought a warm, always kind energy to our team and our animals. We are heartbroken over her sudden loss.
