Ann Arbor, MI (June 26, 2026) — Thirty cats were rescued by the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) from a home in Manchester. The owner brought several sick cats to the shelter when she asked for help for many still in her home. Rescue officers arrived to find cats ranging from young kittens to seniors. Ann Arbor, MI (June 17, 2026) — Following an investigation by the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV), and criminal charges of animal abuse filed against Ann Arbor resident George White, the case was dismissed on Tuesday, May 26. The charges stemmed from a 2024 HSHV investigation when a cat in Ypsilanti was discovered suffering from multiple penetrating wounds consistent with being shot by a BB gun.
