The Girls on the Run team at Ypsilanti International Elementary School had to choose a community project at the end of their season, and organize all of their own efforts to make it possible. They chose to help out the Humane Society of Huron Valley, and we are so grateful! These girls both reached out to their school community to ask for donations from our wish list, and also made dog and cat toys themselves. In the end, they were able to donate their braided dog toys and feathered cork cat toys, along with a ton of items from local families – towels, beds, bowls, litter, brushes and more! Thank you Girls on the Run for helping out the community and the homeless animals at our shelter!
