Atticus is an older gentleman who would much appreciate a quiet place to rest. He enjoys training sessions and loves to learn and be engaged. He can be nervous and is can be described as aloof, but makes friends with people with slow intros where Atticus has the space to pick and choose how he says hello. Due to his older age and avoidance/discomfort with dogs seen in the shelter, he will do best with no other dogs and no kids under 12. He will do best with a slow, calm introduction to cats in the household due to lack of history. Overall, Atticus would benefit from even a week or two outside of the shelter to catch a break from the goings-on and get some well-deserved rest.
