Age: 3  Sex: Male   Breed: Dalmatian/Husky Mix    Weight: 54 lbs    Restrictions: Needs Fenced Yard, No Kids Under 5, Must Meet Dogs

Bailey is very overwhelmed by the shelter, and this is his second stay with us. He has taken some extra time to make friends since he’s a nervous guy but is a sweetheart once you’ve earned his trust! He has history of living with another dog but can be reactive with other dogs when he is overwhelmed. He has been able to go on a buddy walk with another dog since returning to the shelter. Bailey also has a history of living with cats and would do best with calmer, dog-savvy cats in the home. He would need a home with older kids due to his nervousness and high energy levels. Per his surrender profile, he’s been reported as high energy, sweet, and cuddly in the home. We have not seen reactivity toward people here (he mostly chooses to avoid them) but it was reported in his previous adoptive home. He will need a foster committed to using positive reinforcement training, as he has a negative history with the use of aversive training. Bailey will need a home with a fenced yard since he has a history of getting overwhelmed on walks.
