We currently have 6 case dogs waiting for foster placement. They are here because HSHV is the holding facility for animals going through court trials. They can not be adopted. We are not able to spay or neuter them. They would all be much more comfortable in a home since cases can take a long time to resolve. Only the first letter of their name will be provided for privacy.

First is H:

Age: 5   Sex: Male   Breed: English Bulldog  Weight: 53 Pounds Restrictions: No Dogs. No Kids

H  is a wiggly boy who deserves a break from shelter life! He is a pending case animal and will likely be in our care for an extended period. He’s a couch potato and does not require excessive exercise. He enjoys hanging out and chewing his chew toys and is a food motivated guy who knows lots of cute tricks already! We do not have history on how he does with cats, he came in with another dog but may do best as an only dog. He has some handling sensitivities and should not go home with kids.

Next is R:

Age: 5   Sex: Male  Breed: Pit Mix Weight: 57 Pounds Restrictions: Must Meet Dogs.

R is a friendly and wiggly guy, but he is very frustrated in his kennel and barks at anyone who passes by because he wants out and to be with people! He did live with another dog previously, but has been reactive to dogs here (seems to be frustration based), so would need to meet any dog siblings prior to going to foster. He does not have any history with cats. He is part of a cruelty case here and may be in our care for an extended period, so we would like to get him into a home environment where he can be less stressed.

Then there is K:

Age: 2   Sex: Male  Breed: French Bulldog  Weight: 33 Pounds Restrictions: No other animals. No kids

K is a case dog who is looking to spend his time in a quiet home environment while he waits for his case to conclude. He is social with people but is struggling with the hectic shelter environment. He enjoys a good nap, often seen snoring with his legs kicked into the air. He also enjoys a good enrichment item every now and then. Kona should not go with other animals due to reported discomfort and arousal seen in his previous foster and within the shelter. Kona would do best in a house without children, though exceptions may be made via the behavior department for older/quieter, dog-savvy teens.

Next is D:

Age: 3   Sex: Male   Breed: Cane Corso Weight: 82 Pounds Restrictions: No Dogs

D is a big gentle giant. He is mostly interested in sniffing when outside. Pretty low key and easy to walk on a leash. He does seem to prefer to be the only dog in the home based on what we know about his previous living situation. He is a little shy at first but seems to warm up with gentle praise and attention. We have no history on cats or kids.

Then there is B:

Age: 7   Sex: Female   Breed: Cane Corso Weight: 96 Pounds Restrictions: No dogs. No Cats. No Kids.

B is also a gentle giant just looking for a calm home to relax in. She is a little fearful of new people but warms up with gentle attention. She is a bit reactive to other dogs but as long as there are none around she walks easy and just wants nothing but pets. She is seeking a foster home without other animals or small kids.

Last is G:

Age: 6   Sex: Female   Breed: Cane Corso Weight: 115 Pounds Restrictions: No dogs. No Cats. No Kids.

G is a good girl seeking a quiet home. She would love to get out of the building. She is a little nervous with new people at first, but opens up fairly quickly. She would do best in a home without other animals or kids due to her previous living situation.

** To foster a case animal you will need to have fostered with us at least once before!

How to Foster any of these Case Dogs:
