Age: Sex: Male   Breed: Pit Mix  Weight: 69 Pounds

Dalton has been at HSHV for a few months now and is in the process of recovering from double knee surgery. He has become a big volunteer favorite and has been learning a lot from all his staff and volunteer friends, especially with managing his dog reactivity. He has come a long way and was recently able to calmly coexist with another dog on his recent dog test. He would likely prefer to be an only dog, especially since he still has some exercise restrictions to manage, but may be able to be managed around a calmer, neutral dog who isn’t interested in a lot of play. He does not have history with cats, and would need to be separated and introduced slowly if he goes to a foster home with cats. Due to his recovery and handling sensitivities he would do best in a home with older kids.
