Fendi is a nervous girl who has been very overwhelmed in the kennel. Her previous owner reports that she can be nervous with new people, especially men, and takes time to warm up to them. This makes living in a shelter full of unknown people very difficult for her. She has made friends with a handful of staff and is currently living in a room rather than a kennel, which reduces the number of strangers she has to see walk past which has helped her settle in. She is food motivated and warms up with some tasty treats. So far she has not shown reactivity on walks, she likes sniffing interesting smells and is curious and aware of her surroundings. She can sometimes pull towards dogs but can be redirected with her name and some treats. In her previous home she lived with another dog and a cat and may be able to integrate into a foster home with appropriate introductions. She has lived with young children in the past and is reported to be playful and comfortable with them, but with her nervousness around new people slow intros and monitored interactions are a good idea until she is fully comfortable.
