John Deere is quite stressed by living in a kennel. We would like to get him out into a foster home where he can relax and show more of his personality. He did come in with another dog but has been unable to interact appropriately with other dogs here, likely due to his level of stress, so he will need a home where he can be the only dog. His finders reported he was very friendly when found and they transported him to the shelter. He is a big guy, so will need a foster able to handle him on leash. We do not have any history on him with cats, so fosters would need the ability to separate and follow slow introductions in the home.
How to Foster John Deere:
New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and signing up to become a new foster. Veteran foster parents can email fosters@hshv.org to schedule a pickup appointment.
