Age: 8 Months  Sex: Male   Breed: Mastiff Mix   Weight: 36 lbs    Restrictions: Must Meet Dogs, No Kids Under 12

Kermit is an adolescent dog who is still working on his manners. He would benefit from a foster experienced with high-arousal dogs who can give him plenty of enrichment and calming activities after any play sessions. He is very treat-motivated and does well with pattern games and learning new tricks while out on walks. Kermit does enjoy playing with other dogs, but has a high-arousal play style (lots of bitey-face and wrestling) so will need a foster dog sibling that will tolerate and enjoy this type of play style. He does not have any history with cats, so fosters would need the ability to separate and follow slow introductions in the home. If living with any kids, they would need to be dog-savvy and 12 or older.

How to Foster Kermit:

New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and signing up to become a new foster. Veteran foster parents can email fosters@hshv.org to schedule a pickup appointment.
