Kipper is a nervous girl who takes some time to warm up to new people. Kipper has also shown some discomfort with invasive handling but enjoys calm petting and attention once she knows someone. She mostly walks calmly but can pull hard/suddenly if she sees something she wants to chase (squirrels, birds). Due to her nervousness and handling sensitivity, she would need a home with older, dog-savvy kids, if any. She has shown discomfort with other dogs here at the shelter, so would be happiest as the only dog in the home. Since she has shown some prey drive, she may do best in a home without cats.

How to Foster Kipper:

New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and signing up to become a new foster. Veteran foster parents can email fosters@hshv.org to schedule a pickup appointment.
