Mia can be nervous of new people in her space, but once she knows you she loves pets and laps. She does frequently bark when in her kennel or when placed in a room for attempts at quiet decompression time, but she was not reported for separation anxiety in the previous home, and adopter stated they could crate her without issue. She has a history of living with another small dog, but should meeting dogs prior to going to foster and may not do best with larger dogs. We do not have any history with her on cats, so would need ability to separate and follow slow introductions in the home. She would do best in a home with older children due to her nervous nature and bite history.
How to Foster Mia:
New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and signing up to become a new foster. Veteran foster parents can email fosters@hshv.org to schedule a pickup appointment.
