Age: 2  Sex: Female   Breed: Pit Mix  Weight: 51lbs   Restrictions: Must Meet Dogs. No Young Kids.

Moose Tracks is getting frustrated by living in a kennel and would love to get out into a home. She enjoys quiet time napping in our Relaxation Room and decompression time out of her kennel getting attention from staff in one of our larger rooms. She can be nervous around unfamiliar people and dogs, sometimes barking at them, so will benefit from continued reactivity training in foster. She arrived to the shelter as a stray along with another dog, but will still need to meet dog siblings prior to going home due to her nervousness. We do not have any history on her with cats, so she will need a slow introduction and ability to separate in the home. She will need a foster home without young children as well.

How to Foster Moose Tracks:

New fosters can take the first step by learning about fostering and signing up to become a new foster. Veteran foster parents can email fosters@hshv.org to schedule a pickup appointment.
